i've always been drawn to stuffed animals. my interest grew into a real obsession once i hit my late-20s & i've been a staunch collector ever since.
i don't have a true brand preference since i tend to collect whatever designs catch my eye. that said, i'm known to favour brands such as Douglas, Build-a-Bear, & Jellycat, to name a few; but my collection features a little bit of everything!
my favourite plushies to collect are of North American animals, domestic cats, fantasy creatures, & horses. i also have quite a few Douglas dogs.
stuffed animals play an important role in helping to manage my anxiety & mental health symptoms. separate from my main collection are my ESSAs (Emotional Support Stuffed Animals): these tend to be dryer-burnt or otherwise damaged plushies that i've grown attached to & feel comfortable handling outdoors.
